Lenovo is getting into the consumer ANC (active noise cancelling) headphone business with brand new Yoga and X1 ANC headphones. Lets start off with the Yoga ANC headphones. First off, they look really slick and appear to come with a nice carrying case. They also appear to be on-ear which makes them ideal for traveling.
The Yoga ANC headphones feature a hybrid ANC and ENC (electronic noise cancelling) mic with voice assist and Dolby-tuned drivers. Lenovo says these headphones are designed for entertainment or “focused productivity.”
The design is very modern looking and clean. The headphones sport Bluetooth 5.0 and USB-C connectivity. They support Windows PC and smartphones, both iOS and Android. Lenovo says these headphones have their “Smart Voice” pickup which is supposed to enhance conference calling.
They are also Skype compatible and you can access controls quickly with “Voice Control.” With the USB-C connection these are quick charge capable with less than a 2-hour charge time.

While the Yoga headphones are nice, I think the X1 ANC headphones are nicer. At least in the design and look of them. Most all of what comes on the Yoga headphones is here on the X1, but with a much more aggressive look and feel than the Yoga.
The black and red color scheme match Lenovo’s ThinkPad X1 line of laptops and they are much sporty looking than the Yoga’s. The earcups look slightly different than the Yoga’s but are still on-ear.

Availability of the Yoga ANC and X1 ANC Headphones is expected to start in June 2019 at €158 including VAT.
