The nice thing about Mobile World Congress is you’re going to find mobile news from around the world. Not all mobile devices announced at MWC are for U.S. use, like the CENTRiC S1. The CENTRiC S1 is actually bound for India and it’s a nice looking device our Indian readers may enjoy.

The defining feature of the CENTRiC S1 is the popup selfie cam, no it’s not a new thing but an interesting feature none the less. The S1 has a starting price of US$310 and comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner and face unlocking feature. Besides the CENTRiC S1, the company unveiled 4 other smartphones — L4, A2, G5 and G3 priced at US$90, $140, $160 and $250, respectively.

The S1 also comes with “Pump Express 3.0” fast charging which the company says will charge the battery to 50% in 20 minutes. The AMOLED screens brightness also hits 700 nits which is great for outdoor use. The screen-to-body ratio of the S1 is 92% with nearly no bezels.

The S1 comes with 64GB or 128GB of storage and is powered by the new MediaTek Helio P70 Octa-Core Processor. The handset is equipped with an 8MP front pop-up selfie camera and 16MP+ 5MP dual rear camera.
