With this patch, Stronghold bosses now drop more loot with the chance of more Masterwork and Legendary items on GM1 and higher difficulties.

Let’s face it, Anthem has been plagued with issues since launch. Some legit, some exaggerated due to player complaints, but in the end, it was far from a perfect launch. As we’ve mentioned before, credit where credit is due, BioWare has done a bang-up job of listening to its player base and have released patch after patch since launch. Personally, I’ve been enjoying my time with Anthem for the most part, especially with each new patch.

Yesterday’s Anthem Update 1.04 adds a few more welcome changes including increasing Masterwork and Legendary loot (again), buffs to just about every Javelin component, and Legendary missions.

Starting with loot, chests now have a chance to drop additional items and crafting materials in Strongholds, Freeplay and Missions. As well, Stronghold bosses now drop more loot with the chance of more Masterwork and Legendary items on GM1 and higher difficulties.

Players can also earn Elysian Keys by completing daily challenges. These keys open Elysian Caches which give players vanity unlocks. There are 67 unique vanity unlocks available, including vinyls, victory poses, emotes and arrivals without fear of having duplicates.

In addition, BioWare has buffed almost all Javelin components for each of the four classes. These buffs come in the way of more damage %, increased time of the component effects, or a bit of both.

Finally, the other big addition this update are Legendary Missions. Legendary Missions allow you to replay critical path missions again with a much higher difficulty level. One mission will be available per day that has no limit on the number of times it can be completed. BioWare is quick to point out that these require team coordination to achieve victory!

As with any patch, there are a number of fixes and other updates, including Nvidia DLSS support on PC, being able to access The Forge from any screen (and without a loading screen), and much more. There are plenty this time around and you can read about them all in the link below.
