Tech companies often team up with food companies for contests, giveaways, and branded promotions. On that note, here’s one you probably didn’t see coming. HyperX has partnered with Nissin Cup Noodles for the HyperX Cup MIX-IN headphones.

This definitely isn’t your run of the mill gaming headset. With the new Noodlette ear pad, HyperX has extended their leatherette ear pads by weaving them with noodle fibers. The Dual-Chamber Drivers — one for bass and one for mids and highs — offer less distortion and even more audio distinction for users.

“This collaboration challenged our engineers to push the limits on both performance and creativity. After many hours on the drawing board, we’re most excited to bring to market the Premium Dual-Chamber Drivers, Noodlette™ and Microphork™ through this premium headphone. Now, Cup Noodles fans can curb their hunger without compromising the quality of their down time, including gameplay.”

Wendy Lecot, Head of Strategic Alliances, HyperX

That’s right, the detachable noise-cancelling Microphork allows gamers to use the microphone/fork to slurp down their favourite flavour of Nissin Cup Noodles while gaming.

“Staying ahead of trends and infusing innovation into what we offer from Cup Noodles are at the core of what our company was founded on. We are always looking for ways to elevate our fans’ experience with Cup Noodles through unexpected and fun ideas, so when HyperX wanted to collaborate, we knew this was an opportunity to give everyone from music lovers to gamers a unique Cup Noodles experience they never imagined.”

Jaclyn Park, Vice President of Marketing, Nissin Foods USA

The limited edition headphones are currently listed as sold out on the Nissin Fan Store website but who knows, they might be back in stock soon as more inventory is released. In addition, the two companies are working on a heated mouse pad to keep those cup noodles warm during those long gaming sessions.
