YouTube Music Premium and YouTube Premium student plans launched last November in the U.S. and are now available in Canada, the U.K., and a few other countries. In other words, eligible university and college students can now get discounted access to music, movies, and original series.
Last year, we introduced the new YouTube Music and YouTube Premium subscription plans to help users get more from their YouTube experience. YouTube Music is a new music streaming service with official albums, playlists and singles, as well as a vast
YouTube press releasecatalog of music videos, remixes, live performances, covers and more — all with ad-free, background and offline access. YouTube Premium extends that ad-free experience across all ofYouTube, and includes access to YouTube Originals.
Usually CA$9.99/month, students can now get YouTube Music Premium for $4.99. YouTube Premium, which includes YouTube Music Premium and Google Play Music, normally costs $11.99/month. The student pricing brings that down to $6.99/month.
To sign up, head over to the YouTube Premium or YouTube Music Premium website and follow the instructions. You will have to be a full-time student at an accredited college or university in Canada and the process will require you to prove your eligibility through SheerID.
