The new Star Wars: Episode IX teaser trailer just dropped on YouTube and it is sure to get people talking. Both sides of the debate are certain to start chiming in from every corner of the internet. Since Disney has taken over the franchise, there has been passionate debate over the direction they have taken it.
Without a doubt, there is bound to be a period of time when a new entity takes over something where time to get used to the change is needed. For the Star Wars franchise, I don’t think that will ever happen. The characters and story have such a rich body of work that no matter what Disney does, someone is bound to be upset.
If it means anything, which I’m sure it doesn’t, all I want from a movie is to entertain me. If the producers, director, and actors manage to do that, then I am good to go…but I digress.
The new teaser trailer shows us that the movie title is Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Disney didn’t reveal a whole lot, except that Billy Dee Williams is back as Lando Calrissian. Of course, we see that Rey seems to have gotten the hang of this whole Jedi thing and Kylo Ren is back. Check out the teaser trailer for yourself below:
I’m not sure where you all stand on the new movies, but I respect your opinions. I’ve been a Star Wars fan for a very long time and I’m most likely going to go see this one. I’ll agree that some of the Disney led Star Wars films haven’t been the best but I also think that most of the films have had a miss or two in them.
