Skullcandy has been around as a lifestyle audio brand for a number of years now. The company is building on their Crusher headset line-up with the Crusher ANC. Offering not only Active Noise Cancelling, the new headset also includes Skullcandy’s Sensory Bass and Personal Sound technology.
“Our Crusher ANC is without a peer in the market today. Improving on the famous sensory bass immersion of our industry-leading Crusher family, we have now added proprietary active noise cancellation and an industry-first personalization experience that no other headphone can match. You won’t just hear your music, you’ll feel it like never before.”Jason Hodell, Chief Executive Officer of Skullcandy
As any audiophile knows, ANC filters out external noise in order to give you a more immersive and undistracted listening experience. This feature on the Crusher ANC can be enabled or disabled, allowing users to be aware of their surroundings or tune them out as they see fit.
Skullcandy’s patented bass technology dubbed Sensory Bass offers up the company’s “broadest range of adjustable sensory bass to date” and can be adjusted with a simple slider.
The company’s Personal Sound feature tuns the headphones for each individual through the Skullcandy App. When configured and enabled, this feature will allow listeners to “hear layers of their music and movies more vividly — like they’re hearing it for the first time.”The app will also allow users to toggle the personal sound profile on or off, allow easy pairing, firmware updates, and access to user guides.
As for battery life, Crusher ANC offer up to 24 hours of battery life as well as Rapid Charge technology. If you do run out of juice, a single 10 minute charge will provide three more hours of playtime. Another neat feature is the inclusion of a built-in Tile tracker so you can easily locate your headphones should you misplace them or the get stolen.
The Crusher ANC is now available in Fearless Black and Deep Red from the Skullcandy website and retails for US$319.99. An exclusive Black/Tan colorway will be available on October 6th from Best Buy.
