Mobile World Congress is winding down, and our Techaeris Best of MWC 2023 list honors some of the cool pieces of tech announced at the event. If you’re unfamiliar with Mobile World Congress, it is one of Europe’s biggest consumer tech conferences. Many of the products shown at MWC 2023 will likely never make it to the United States. But we are a global website with overseas viewers, so MWC news is pertinent to them. Here is our Techaeris Best of MWC 2023 in no particular order.

Best 16″ Business Laptop
Last year’s ThinkPad Z16 was a significant departure for Lenovo. The familiar black and carbon look faded with a more refined metal chassis, keyboard, and trackpad. Last year’s Z16 was fantastic on battery life, and this year’s Z16 looks to be more of the same, with significant improvements all around. Yet another foldable device, and this one competes with the Samsung Z Flip4. Xiaomi phones are generally unknown here in the States and are rarely sold here. But overseas in Europe, they are one of the more prominent brands. The 13 series looks great with MediaTek’s latest chips and solid specs; this is one of the better choices for overseas buyers.

Best Foldable Smartphone
Yes, I know. I have TWO foldable smartphones on this list. This is why I am saying foldable devices are the future. Tecno made a foldable smartphone that looks just as good as Honor’s and is set up to compete with Samsung’s Fold4. I had to include both on our list because choosing was too hard. Foldable devices are heating up, and Samsung needs to watch out. Find out more at the link below.

Most Interesting Mobile Design
It would not be MWC without an interesting and quirky idea winner. The Huawei Watch Buds are interesting indeed—a smartwatch with earbuds under the display. I’m unsure how well this will sell, but you must give it to Huwaei for thinking outside the box. Find out more at the link below.
