We’re no strangers to video games here at Techaeris HQ. Some of us are casual gamers and others are a little more hardcore. Whatever level gamer you are there is one thing we all have in common. We are geeks. And as geeks, we love to understand and see how the things we love work and how they came into being. Check out the video after the break and see how developers made Assassin’s Creed Unity. There is some amazing technology and amazing talent at work in this video.

Even if you’re not much of a gamer, the power behind the tech is interesting enough to watch that video a few times over. It never ceases to amaze me the things these guys and gals do with the software they’re playing with and the hardware they’re using. Video games have progressed very quickly in a short amount of time (though I think technology in general is moving faster than ever). I remember playing Pong on my cousins Atari system and then came Sega, Nintendo and the like. Each year graphics got better as did the sound and the gameplay.

While I haven’t played video games very much in the past ten years, it’s not because I don’t want to, it’s because I’ve run out of time to. There’s been many times I’ve tried to talk my wife into a PS4 or an Xbox gaming console. Every time she talks me down logically and gets it through my thick skull that I’m never going to use the darned thing anyway. So, while I won’t be buying a gaming system anytime soon. I can certainly enjoy the work these developers put in watching videos like this. It truly is very awesome. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below or on Google+, Facebook and Twitter.
