Some eagle eye techies in India have spotted an interesting line item on some import documents from Samsung. The document suggests that the shipment contains an 18.4″ Samsung tablet. Could Samsung be developing such a huge tablet? According to reports the tablet will have a flexible screen that is able to fold in half when not in use. Maybe this tablet is more a testing and proving ground for flexible displays than an actual tablet that would be in production. Samsung has been working with flexible displays for some time now and has been incorporating them into their mobile products like the Note Edge and S6 Edge.

Flexible displays could prove to be useful in a variety of applications such as vehicle displays and advertising displays. They could lead to more ergonomic mobile devices and other consumer electronics. Whether or not this 18.4″ tablet is going to become a reality we do not know. We do know that Samsung is one of the leaders in flexible display development and it will be interesting to see what they are continuing to do with the technology.

What do you think of this import document? A real deal tablet? Or just R&D on flexible display technology? Let us know in the comments below or on Google+, Facebook and Twitter.
