Twitter leaker @upleaks has our first look at the Moto 360 Sport and website TechTimes says Lenovo is set to announce both watches September 8th in Shanghai. The Moto 360 Sport is an interesting looking watch and definitely has the sport look to it. According to @upleaks the Sport will have a Hybrid Display optimized for outdoor use, 3ATM Water Resistance, GPS and a Barometer on board. The Moto 360 2nd gen is still looking like the leaks we’ve seen over the past few weeks.

The watches are looking nice but the question still lingers if smartwatches are really something the average consumer cares about. The metrics says that smartwatch sales are down after experiencing a small surge. Most people don’t see anything different from their smartphones which they carry in their hands most of the time. With Android Wear coming to iOS and Android watches typically cheaper than the Apple Watch, perhaps there will be renewed interest in wearables and smartwatches. Only time will tell.
