GNS GmbH has announced a new generation of fitness and environmental tracking with the upcoming Fitti Guard. In addition to the expected step and calorie counter, sleep analysis, and GPS tracking, Fitti Guard also includes sensors that measure ultraviolet, gamma-ray radiation, noise exposure, and air quality.

“This unique activity GPS watch combines fitness and additional health functionality in a single stylish device offering protection from daily environmental influences. We are very proud that our engineers were able to integrate reliable UV and air quality sensors in such a small device. Fitti Guard will give a notice if sun protection is required or to open a window if the indoor air quality is bad based on the WHO recommendations. We will have our Kickstarter campaign end of March 2016 and it would be great if we get the same positive feedback as we had during CES exhibition in Las Vegas this year.” said Bernd Bierwisch, CEO and founder of GNS GmbH.

Features of the Fitti Guard include:

  • State of the art fitness features – beyond well established functions like step and level count, calories burned and heart rate, Fitti Guard offers advanced features including automatic recognition of activities (e.g. golfing, basketball, tennis etc.), sleep analysis and GPS tracking, supporting an active and conscious lifestyle.
  • Unique environmental sensing and protection functions help identifying and avoiding unhealthy situations. Numerous sensors continuously measure ultraviolet, gamma-ray radiation, noise exposure as well as air quality. Consumers receive warnings triggered as soon as individually configurable dose rates or levels are exceeded. The Fitti Guard companion watch takes care of the daily well-being and assists users in a healthier lifestyle.
  • The attentive companion – stylish, lightweight and with an outstanding battery life of up to 21 days – with the Fitti Guard companion watch you have a reliable health and fitness coach at your wrist.

The Fitti Guard Kickstarter will kick off in April, with the fitness and environmental tracker releasing at the end of 2016.
