It’s time to unleash your inner hero — or villain — as the free-to-play super-powered MMO DC Universe Online finally comes to the Xbox One. First released in 2011, DCUO is constantly evolving and adding content including new storylines as well as new superhero powers and abilities.
DC Universe Online is now on Xbox One! Join thousands of other players in this Free-to-Play, massive online action game set in the popular DC Comics universe. Choose your side – Hero or Villain – and create your character to experience true action combat, as you fight alongside and against legendary characters such as Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman, Lex Luthor, and Circe. Jump in and explore the DC Universe; walk the darkened streets of Gotham City, investigate the mysteries of the futuristic cityscape of Metropolis, and travel to legendary locations such as Arkham Asylum and the Watchtower.
The Xbox One version launches with over 5 years of content which include the addition of 23 Episodes, which features storylines about The Joker, Green Lantern, New Gods, Legends of Tomorrow, and more. In addition, 14 power sets are currently available including Fire, Electricity, Earth and Ice, as well as the ability to customize Bases and Lairs, join Leagues, and much more. As a bonus, Xbox One players will get access to three exclusive items for free when they download and play the game: Powered-Up Emblem, Powered-Up cape, and the Vapor Aura.
If you’re an existing DCUO player on another system, you won’t be able to transfer your progress or purchases over to the Xbox One, and cross play between PC and PlayStation players isn’t supported either as each platform has their own servers. While the game is free-to-play, you’ll need an Xbox Live Gold account to play, and you can purchase bundles, Marketplace cash, and monthly memberships to enhance your DCUO experience.
