Pixel XL 2

It’s important to note that not all Google Pixel phones are suffering from this issue and the percentage of affected devices could be rather low.

Is your Google Pixel camera suffering from freezing issues? Some users have complained that their Google Pixel camera has been having issues freezing up and producing glitchy photos. Google has acknowledged the problem and says they will be working on a fix in a statement issued to MobileSyrup.

“The Pixel team is aware of the reports and actively working on a solution to the issue. We’ll update you as soon as we have more information.”

Since the problem was first reported, dozens of other users have come forward claiming they too are having issues with their Google Pixel camera. The Pixel camera has been hailed as the best camera on a smartphone ever and this issue is certainly not going to change that. The problem here is most likely in the software which we are certain Google can iron out.

It’s important to note that not all Google Pixel phones are suffering from this issue and the percentage of affected devices could be rather low. Even so, it’s a pain in the butt for those who are having problems and the fact Google has confirmed it and is working on the fix is encouraging. The Google Pixel is Google’s first run at an all Google device with no other manufacturer branding. One of the selling points of the Pixel is the fact that Google will update them and service the hardware as well. This particular issue is a good chance for Google to prove their responsiveness to issues that users are reporting. So far so good, they seem to be passing the test.
