Alleged CNC iPhone 8 model just doesn’t look all that great

As we wrote the other day, due to the accolades the Galaxy S8 has been getting, we’re bound to get more iPhone leaks than normal. The most recent one shows an alleged CNC iPhone 8 model that is supposedly direct from Foxconn. Twitter user Benjamin Geskin (@VenyaGeskin1) posted the images on the 23rd and he claims the device is just a CNC shell. You can see from his Tweets below that it certainly doesn’t look like a finished product and in fact, just doesn’t look all that great.

Now, since this is just a CNC iPhone 8 model, it’s understandable that it wouldn’t look all that great, but we’re hoping this is just one of many designs Apple is working with. The vertical placement of the dual camera system is not very attractive and I was hoping Apple wouldn’t go with this design. All of this is very worthy of many grains of salt and with Samsung taking the veil off the S8, this iPhone 8 model may never see the light of day.

Now that Apple has something to shoot for (the S8) they could very well be back on their CAD programs figuring out what they need to do to one up Samsung. Although we do know that Apple tends to stick to its guns when it comes to design and software, if they believe it to be the best, they will run with it. Let’s just hope it’s not this particular design.
