The partnership today announced that 10% of the purchase price of the 50″ (VIZIO)RED M-Series will go directly to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS with (RED).
The service is already available on Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Samsung, LG, and mobile devices.
The VIZIO RED is a P-Series 55″ 4K HDR TV with an edge-to-edge display and retails for $799USD.
VIZIO has unveiled a new smart TV platform launching in Canada called SmartCast TV.
The SmartCast P-Series televisions feature Dolby Vision and HDR10 content support at Ultra HD 4K resolutions, and also feature built-in Chromecast support.
LeEco was going to acquire 49% of Vizio for $2 billion, only to be slowed down by Chinese domestic restrictions.
According to the FTC, Vizio did not disclose any of this to the consumer, instead, they packaged the software into what they called “Smart Interactivity.”
