VIZIO has teamed up with non-profit AIDS awareness organization RED on the special edition VIZIO RED TV. The VIZIO RED is a P-Series 55″ 4K HDR TV with an edge-to-edge display and retails for $799USD. For each VIZIO RED TV sold VIZIO will give 10% of that will go directly to the Global Fund to fight HIV/AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa.

We have yet to review VIZIO TVs but we have heard many people compliment them, especially for their price points. VIZIO says the TV has expansive colors, crisp HDR performance, and sharp 4K detail. VIZIO uses their Ultra Color Spectrum technology to bring the expansive colors to life. They also incorporate Dolby Vision HDR which helps the contrast, depth, and brightness. The VIZIO RED also has a 240Hz effective refresh rate which should help make fast action type movies look smooth and clean.
The VIZIO RED P-Series 55″ Class 4K HDR Smart TV also boasts VIZIO SmartCast which provides everyday users, cord-cutters and smart home enthusiasts with an unparalleled smart TV experience. RED has generated more than $500 million dollars for the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria since 2006. They support grants in Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Rwanda, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, and Zambia. All 100 percent of that money goes to work on the ground — no overhead is taken. The Global Fund grants that (RED) supports have impacted nearly 110 million people with prevention, treatment, counseling, HIV testing and care services.
