Reuters is reporting that Cisco Systems Inc. plans on adding 1700 new jobs to the Ontario workforce over the next six years. Cisco is expanding its research and development division into Ontario and the provincial government has agreed to support Cisco’s expansion with a $220 million Canadian dollar infusion and a 10 year agreement. The Ontario provincial government says the deal could eventually reach up to $2.4 billion Canadian dollars which would include $2.2 billion in salaries.

Time to dust off that resume and practice your interview skills folks. This is great news for Ontario because of the recent loss of jobs due to Blackberry’s fall from the top. Having Cisco setup shop in Ontario can only be a good and postive thing for Ontario. Hit the link below for source.
