Softpedia is reporting that Sony’s Japanese Xperia Z1f is leaving Apple’s iPhone 5s behind in sales numbers. They don’t give any official numbers but this is great news for Sony and Android fans alike. The Xperia Z1f is a smaller version of the Z1 and is exclusive to Japan at the moment. There is no word on if or when it will be available to other countries.
The Z1f has a 4.3″ 720p display along with a 2.2GHz quad-core snapdragon 800 CPU inside. It also has 2GB of RAM and a 2300mAh battery. The rear camera is a 20 megapixel shooter which I am certain takes some awfully nice pics. It’s nice to see an Android handset making headway against the iPhone. Furthermore, it’s nice to see an Android handset that isn’t made by Samsung making headway against other competitors. Looking forward to what Sony has for us in the future.
