Last week Xbox announced a slew of new futures coming over the next few months to the Xbox One console. One of the much requested features – digital pre-loading (and by inference digital pre-ordering) – was set to launch in September with FIFA 15 and Forza Horizon 2. Seems Xbox has quietly launched Xbox One digital pre-ordering with Madden NFL 15 Bundle.
As we’ve mentioned before, given Xbox’s original push towards digital delivery, many gamers – myself included – felt a bit shafted that pre-orders were not available digitally, hence missing out on pre-order bonuses should they choose the digital route. That’s all changing with Xbox making Madden NFL 15 available for pre-purchase.

XBOX ONE GAME EXPECTED TO RELEASE ON 8/26/2014. YOU MAY DOWNLOAD THE GAME FROM XBOX LIVE BEFORE THEN, BUT IT WILL NOT BE PLAYABLE UNTIL 12:01 AM PDT / 3:01 AM EDT ON THE RELEASE DATE. Once purchase is complete, download this game by selecting the “Manage” button on the product details page on your console. To get 10% off your purchase and an exclusive trial five days before the release date, you’ll need to sign up for EA Access before you pre-purchase Madden NFL 15. This includes the standard edition of Madden NFL 15 plus the Pre-order Bundle in Ultimate Team, which is comprised of 11 Pro Packs (distributed 3 packs week 1 and then 2 packs per week for the next 4 weeks).
Not only do you get to play the game on Aug 26 at midnight (PDT), the Madden NFL 15 Bundle includes the pre-order bundle which includes 11 Pro Packs over the next month or so after launch. You can also save yourself a cool $6USD ($7CAD) if you’re an EA Access member – which at $4.99/mth or $29.99 for the year basically pays for itself after a game purchase (if on the monthly plan).
