Apple is gearing up to release its new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus on Friday and they’re optimistic that some buyers will be moving from Android to iOS. In an effort to help those users make a smooth transition from one platform to another, Apple has come up with a guide on how to migrate their data over. With over 4 million iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus units sold during pre-order it’s not unlikely that at least a handful will be converting Android users.
Even with Android leading the market there’s always bound to be someone who is switching over at least Apple is hoping.
While Apple iPhone sales were in record numbers they are still falling behind Android as a whole. With the amount of Android devices on the market and now with Android One kicking off in emerging markets, Apple’s overall sales will probably still be behind. Perhaps that’s just fine with Apple as they continue to find success in the higher end market. So if you’re one of those Android users making the jump to iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus, be sure to hit the link below to check out the Apple page to migrate your data.[button link=”http://appleinsider.com/articles/14/09/16/apple-details-content-migration-for-android-switchers-in-new-support-document” icon=”fa-external-link” side=”left” target=”blank” color=”285b5e” textcolor=”ffffff”]Source: Apple Insider[/button][button link=”http://support.apple.com/kb/HT6407″ icon=”fa-external-link” side=”left” target=”blank” color=”285b5e” textcolor=”ffffff”]Source: Apple[/button]
