JK Rowling is probably very busy these days on a screenplay for her spin off movie from the Harry Potter universe called “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them“. She also solemnly swears she’s up to no good (as the famous saying from the Potterverse goes). She’s taken to Twitter to deliver some very cryptic and mysterious messages and there is talk of perhaps another project aside from her screenplay. Could Rowling be writing another adventure featuring the Boy Who Lived ?
The Tweets from Rowling:
Very busy at the moment working on a novel, tweaking a screenplay and being involved in @lumos campaigns. Back when I’ve finished something!

.@peruseproject See, now I’m tempted to post a riddle or an anagram. Must resist temptation… must work…

Cry, foe! Run amok! Fa awry! My wand won’t tolerate this nonsense.

Something to ponder while I’m away X

So we can discern that she is very busy “working on a novel…” and then there’s the big clue “Cry, foe! Run amok! Fa awry! My wand won’t tolerate this nonsense..” Fans are working feverishly to break down the clues and figure out just what the British author is up to. This adds fuel to the fire that Rowling is bringing more stories involving an older Harry Potter like she did months ago for her Pottermore site.
With a devout following, the Harry Potter universe (despite the novels having “completed” their run) is still full of adventures and stories to be had apparently. Is JK thinking about returning to her beloved characters? Or maybe she is planning on a new series of books with all new faces set in the magical world hidden from the muggles. Either way, she has our attention.
Where is Sherlock Holmes when we need him?
