The 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is a 707-hp beast of a machine and probably the first Dodge that has actually made me look twice in a very long time. I’ve never been a fan of Dodge even when they reintroduced the Charger and Challenger – I just didn’t feel the design was all that great. A few months ago I noticed the Dodge Dart had been reintroduced and the styling caught my eye right away.
Now Dodge has my full attention with the Charger SRT Hellcat, have a look at the video below.
Pricing comes in at nearly $64,000 for the entry level model, that’s a lot of coin but at 707-hp a zero to 60 time of 3.5 seconds and top speed of 199mph it might be worth it.
“The SRT Hellcat is powered by a 6.2-liter supercharged Hemi V-8 that outputs a stated 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque and can be best described, in a word, as monstrous,” continued Goodwin in his review. “It is loud, it is angry, and it is extremely powerful.”
“That’s pretty expensive for a Dodge, but the price tag comes with the promise of owning one of the meanest modern machines on the road today and a future classic,” said Goodwin. “There simply isn’t anything like the Hellcat.”
The Charger is the second addition to Dodge’s Hellcat line, following the 2 door Challenger SRT Hellcat model introduced a couple months previously.
