Nintendo announced during their direct today that the highly anticipated remake of the N64 classic, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, is coming in 2015. This follows in the footsteps of its predecessor on the N64 The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time which was remastered and released on the 3DS back in 2011.
The game is undeniably dark, with the dread of the moon crashing and themes of death scattered throughout, which lead to a lot of speculation that Nintendo was not going to re-release the game because it was just too dark. Luckily, that is confirmed untrue as the game appears to be getting a true-to-itself release.
The remake will be available for the 2DS and 3DS handheld consoles.
