File this under technology being used in bad ways! Now I’m all for trying new flavors in some of my foods, like Frito Lay chicken and waffles potato chips or Dorito taco shells at Taco Bell. But Pepsi and Dorito’s are taking the idea in a whole new direction by introducing Mountain Dew Dewitos flavor. Back when I was drinking soda, pop, Coke whatever you call it in your neck of the woods, I enjoyed Mountain Dew regular, Code Red and Baja and I loved Doritos. But Doritos in sugary liquid form, not so sure the old me would even like that.
The rumor of this new concoction creeped up on reddit and some dismissed it as rumor and not true but it seems it is indeed true but will it be a regional/limited thing? Mountain Dew did make an official statement on the matter and for now it seems experimental.
We are always testing out new flavors of Mountain Dew, and giving our fans a voice in helping decide on the next new product has always been important to us. We opened up the DEW flavor vault and gave students a chance to try this Doritos-inspired flavor as part of a small program at colleges and universities.
