Netflix December 2014 Lineup Changes

|

Netflix has announced its selection of movies that will be coming and going on the service in December.

For starters, get a glimpse into the life of King Robert Baratheon (Mark Addy) when he was nothing but a lowly squire named Roland, following the great knight William Thatcher in 14th century England. If you haven’t seen it since it came out in 2001, A Knight’s Tale is definitely worth a watch now that you can do so free.

Some other highlights include a couple exciting Netflix-exclusive comedy specials, Bill Burr: I’m Sorry You Feel That Way (2014) and Nick Offerman: American Ham. both hitting Netflix in the middle of the month. A lot of Burr’s older specials are already available to stream, and they are great if you don’t mind a lot of swearing and lewdness: and of course Nick Offerman is Nick freakin’ Offerman. I’m Sorry You Feel That Way and American Home release on Dec 5th, and Dec 12th, respectively.

Another Netflix original that we reported on last month, All Hail King Julienbegins on Dec 19th. This will be the first of five 22-minute episodes starring Andy Richter, Henry Wrinkler, Danny Jacobs, Kevin Michael Richardson, and India de Beaufort.

The obvious winner of the month, and movie you should see the most if you haven’t already, is of course 2013’s The Wolf of Wall Street. It’s a little long at 180 minutes so set aside a night and a lot of popcorn to watch it, but it’s worth every second. This is one of the movies that’s best watching fresh going in, so I’m not going to spoil anything. Just remembering to check it out when it lands on Dec 11th.

If you’re looking for something to do while family members still linger days after that Thanksgiving feast and political arguments, don’t forget to check out a few great movies that are leaving Netflix in December. Check out the full list of those leaving, as well as the new additions, below courtesy of Hollywood Reporter.
