Video Shows Every Smash Bros. Character With Realistic Clapping Audio

Every once in a while you find a YouTube video that you can’t stop watching and you kind of hate it, but for some reason you love it anyway. My most recent one comes from a video showing what every Smash Bros. character would actually sound like while they were clapping after losing a match if they weren’t muted in favor of hearing the winning fighter yelling their catch phrase.
Some of them are obvious, like Mario’s padded hands thudding together while he glares at the camera with his usual thousand-yard stare. Others, like R.O.B., make the entire video worth watching. If you pay enough attention, you can tell that some of the sounds were re-created using chains or other small objects, but a lot of it appears to be a couple guys with a microphone making funny sounds. It certainly falls into the category of “why didn’t I think of that first.”

The video comes from the YouTube channel GrumpOut, which is a new offshoot of the popular Let’s Players, the GameGrumps, who themselves consist of Arin “Egoraptor” Hanson, Danny “Sexbang” Avidan, and several others. If you’re interested, they also have two music albums currently released, with a third on the way. We reviewed the second one, Player Select last year.
