Ziggurat Crawls To Xbox One March 20

Milkstone Studios’ indie game Ziggurat is set to release on the Xbox One on March 20th. First released on Steam last October, the first person shooter dungeon crawler features fast-paced combat, random dungeons, “baddass bosses,” and… carrots?
Playing as a neophyte sorcerer, you must enter the labyrinth and face dangerous challenges and learn spells on your way to becoming a powerful wizard.

Considered by many as the best indie game of 2014, and the best Roguelite FPS to date, Ziggurat focuses on fast-paced first person shooting, with an old-school vibe, and updated handling and game mechanics. Dungeon crawling and RPG/Roguelike elements are added into the mix, resulting in a fun, challenging and varied game, with lots of content to discover.

Milkstone Studios also went to great lengths to ensure that the gameplay experience is quick, as FPS games should be. With no inventory to manage or items to compare, players only have to worry about weapon selection, mana, and health.

Unlike most Rogue-thingies, on Ziggurat your combat skills will be the most important asset to keep advancing. Leveling up and randomly generated content is there to improve variety and make each game different, not to make the game a roll dice or an unbearable grind.

The Steam version is currently sitting at a “Very Positive” rating out of almost 1000 reviews, hopefully the port to Xbox One will be just as fun. Check out the launch trailer below, I’m not sure where the attacking carrots come from, but we’ll find out soon enough!
