Game of Thrones Teases "The War To Come" In Two New Clips

Comics/Books / Entertainment / TV

With Game of Thrones Season 5 just around the corner, HBO has released two new clips in order to whet everyone’s appetites just that much more as we wait for the season premiere next month.
The first clip features Tyrion Lannister drinking as usual and speaking with Lord Varys (a.k.a. the Spider) about the impending “war to come.” The second clip shows Jon Snow (bastard son of Ned Stark and steward in the Night’s Watch) and Mance Rayder (leader of the Free Folk) discussing survival of the clans versus Mance’s pride.
Check the new clips below, as you wait impatiently for the killing, drinking, and treachery that we’ve come to know and love in Game of Thrones to continue!

In case you missed it, HBO also released a short preview of the fifth season from which both the above clips seem to be slightly extended scenes from.

The upcoming season will adapt material from the fourth and fifth novels in the A Song of Ice and Fire series – A Feast for Crows and  A Dance with Dragons, respectively. Don’t be so sure it will follow the books exactly though, as George R. R. Martin has indicated that the show will be starting to deviate from his previously published books in the series.
Season 5 of Game of Thrones is set to premiere on HBO on April 12, 2015. Are you excited for the next season? Let us know in the comments below, or on Google+, Twitter, or Facebook.
