BLU Studio C Gives Consumers Another Budget Android Phone Choice

BLU Products have released another unlocked budget Android smartphone, the BLU Studio C. The one key thing BLU’s latest device has over many other budget devices is the fact that it is running Android 5.0 (Lollipop) out of the box.

The specs on the BLU Studio C are on par with other budget Android smartphones, and the $99USD price point is definitely attractive. In addition to the 5″ 1280×720 (~294ppi) IPS capacitive touchscreen, the device features dual micro-SIM card slots, 8GB storage, 1GB RAM, and microSD card support (up to 64GB). Mediatek’s 6582 quad-core 1.3 GHz CPU powers the device, and while it lacks LTE it does support GSM/HSDPA/HSPA bands and should work on most carriers. The smartphone also includes dual cameras, 8MP on the back and a 2MP front facing camera, BT 4.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, WiFi hotspot capabilities, and a non-removable Li-Po 3000 mAh battery which gives up to 900h standby and up to 24h talk time when on a 3G network.

“The Studio C is another example that we strive to change the mobile industry by making great looking smartphones that can do amazing things, priced for everyone,” said Samuel Ohev-Zion, CEO of BLU Products.

The BLU Studio C is available in Sandstone Black, Ceramic White, Salmon Pink, Mint Green, and Sun Orange. Given the specs and price point, this definitely sounds like a great starter or travel phone. Let us know in the comments below if you’re planning on picking one up!
