CogniToys Talking Dinosaur For Kids Goes On Pre-Sale

|

For us adults technology is generally a time waster and used for not much more than vegging out on the couch, OK that’s probably not entirely true. But technology can be so much more, especially for kids. The CogniToys Talking Dinosaur for kids is one of those pieces of tech that’s trying to combine technology, fun and interactive learning. Elemental Path (an IBM partner), the parent company of CogniToys will begin a pre-sale of the Talking Dinosaur today for $119. The 7.5″ tall dino comes in three color choices, green, blue and pink.

Following the toys’ success at the New York Toy Fair and on Kickstarter, where they raised more than $275,000, CogniToys are redefining the play experience. The company has set the standard for fun and interactive learning in the digital age. The cloud-based toys combine the Elemental Path “Friendgine,” a patent-pending platform that supports each toy’s ability to engage a child and develop a unique personality, with IBM Watson’s cognitive processing capabilities. Highlight features of CogniToys include:

  • Initiates and Engages in Real Conversations—Speech recognition allows the toys to sustain engaging conversations using intelligent, age-appropriate content.
  • Uniquely Personalized—Adapts by remembering individual attributes (e.g. a child’s favorite color), even telling knock-knock jokes and providing answers to “who,” “what,” “why,” “where” and “when” questions.
  • Integrated Parent Panel —A web-based dashboard that allows parents to monitor their child’s progress in real time, providing unique insights into learning skills and suggestions for improvement. The Parent Panel also allows for content moderation.
  • Internet-Connected—CogniToys are internet-connected devices which automatically update with new content.
