If you’re a die hard X-Files fan, you’ve heard by now about the six-episode event series set to air next year. In the lead up to the Fox Mulder/Dana Scully reunion, Fox has announced 201 Days of the X-Files. Fans of the popular series can catch EVERY episode of the X-Files in order, one per day between now and January 24, 2016 when the event series is scheduled to air.
It’s been thirteen years since The X-Files went off the air after nine seasons. The event series will be led by series creator/executive producer Chris Carter and both David Duchovny (currently starring in Aquarius) and Gillian Anderson (currently starring in the cancelled Hannibal) will be returning to reprise their roles as F.B.I. agents Mulder and Scully.
Over the course of the nine season run, The X-Files earned 6 Emmy Awards, five Golden Globes and a Peabody Award. Agents Mulder and Scully were tasked with solving unexplained cases which had a paranormal flair to them and while the show started as a small sci-fi hit it quickly became a massive global hit.
