Attack On Titan US Release Dates Are Here… New Episodes Are Not

Movies / TV

Brace yourselves, the Titans are coming. Eventually.

The new live-action movie for the dark and wonderful anime that is Attack on Titan has already hit the theatres in Japan, and now it’s making its way to the United States. The manga-turned-anime-turned-movie has a surprisingly large fan base in America, and despite some negative reviews of the movie coming out of its time in Japan, the American premiere is expected to be quite successful.

Actually, make that both premieres are expected to be successful. Because there are two, with part one of the film coming out on September 30, and part two premiering not even a month later on October 20.

I know that I am probably going to wind up seeing both, if only to attempt and fill the void as I wait for new episodes of the anime to arrive.

On that note, still no word on when the next season of the anime will be coming out. Information on show release dates is as vague as ever, with some sources claiming new episodes will arrive in ‘early 2016’ or ‘sometime in the next year or so.’ One thing appears to be certain; new episodes will come eventually. I did some looking, and it seems as though the original creator of Attack on Titan, Hajime Isayama, is planning on continuing his work for at least a few more years. So, the potential for new episodes is strong.

What do you think? Are you going to see the movies when they come out? Can they live up to the expectations fans of the manga and anime have for them? Are you more excited for the second season of the anime, whenever it may be available? Let us know in the comments below or on your favorite social media site.
