Back in March we wrote up an article speculating that the Nexus 8 would be manufactured by Huawei, but since then we’ve heard nothing about the Nexus 8. That is until now as supposed Nexus 8 pics have leaked online along with a screenshot showing benchmarks. Before we go on, all this has to be taken with a huge grain of salt as none of this is confirmed and there’s nothing in these pics to show this is a Nexus device. For all we know this could be a tablet from any one of the hundreds of Chinese knock-off companies out there. That said, check out the pics below.
This tablet looks to have an aluminum build to it but there’s nothing really to point to this being the actual Nexus 8. The benchmarks screenshot can easily be Photoshopped so this makes all of this HUGE speculation. With tablet sales falling off, even Apple’s iPad is suffering from less users, does it make sense for Google to make another tablet? The Nexus 9 wasn’t exactly a roaring success and it had build quality issues itself. We’ll need way more proof than these pics to convince us that a Nexus 8 tablet is on the way. Right now we’re calling both these “leaks” fake and we’re likely not going to see an N8 anytime soon.
