Gaming / Xbox

While some gamers and home media users were hoping for an Xbox One Mini, the company has just unveiled the Xbox One Elite Bundle, complete with the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller and a 1TB hybrid-SSD drive for $499USD.

The included 1TB Solid State Hybrid Drive is twice as large as most standard Xbox One bundles, and Microsoft claims you’ll be getting into the action 20% faster from energy-saving mode. The addition of the SSHD makes the Xbox One Elite Console the only console with such a drive. SSHD optimizes performance by storing data on the flash memory partition, allowing the console to fetch data faster than standard hard drives. The drive used also features Adaptive Memory Technology, enabling the system to learn which files and data you access most frequently to load your favourite games and apps even faster.

The Xbox Elite Wireless Controller will give pro-level precision with swappable components including thumbsticks, D-pads, and paddles, as well as Hair Trigger Locks and endless customization options with the accompanying app.

The Xbox One Elite Bundle includes:

  • Xbox One Console with 1TB Solid State Hybrid Drive
  • Xbox Elite Wireless Controller with set of 4 paddles, 6 thumbsticks, 2 D-pads, and USB cable
  • Xbox Elite Wireless Controller carrying case
  • 14-Day Xbox Live Gold Trial
  • HDMI Cable
  • Power Supply
