Snail Games W3D Phone Release Pushed Back

We got out first look at Snail Games W3D phone at CES 2015 and we were much impressed with it and its capabilities. The company has been kind of silent lately and not much in the mainstream tech press or in social media. They were set to release the W3D here in September but have since pushed the release back to an undetermined date. Some speculation is the phone will be here in December just in time for Christmas.

I’m pretty excited for this phone, we know that gaming phones haven’t been too successful but I have high hopes for the W3D. The company says that demand has exceeded expectation and this is the reason for pushing back release. As Snail Games is responsible for both manufacturing and distribution they want to make sure they’re doing it right.

Notice for those who have pre-ordered or are interested in ordering the W3D:

Interest in the W3D has exceeded our expectations – because we are responsible for both manufacturing and distributing the W3D ourselves, we want to ensure that we deliver the highest-quality products to all of our customers.

For these reasons, we have made the decision to move the official release date for the W3D from September 29, 2015 to a later date, which has not yet been determined. During this time, we will be performing additional QA tests and upgrading the W3D’s custom software. By doing so, we can be certain that we’re able to meet and exceed our customer’s expectations of the W3D.

We apologize for the delay and thank you for your patience.
