Dell has unveiled the Alienware Alpha Steam Machine, one of the first of a line of computers designed to give the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles a run for their money. Alienware has always been geared toward gaming, so it’s no surprise that it was one of the first to jump on board with the new Steam Machines.
Steam Machines are customized gaming solutions that extend the traditional PC gaming environment into a console-like experience for any room. Alienware Steam Machine will be bundled with free bonus content including the complete versions of PAYDAY 2 2015 Game of the Year Edition, Screencheat and Robot Roller-Derby Disco Dodgeball. It will also include free-to-play titles Brawlhalla (for Windows-based Steam environment) and Warthunder with special in-game items; an Alienware-branded skin plus 200 Mammoth Coins in Brawlhalla and a M18 Black Cat Tank and a XP-38G Lightning plane in Warthunder.
The base model starts at $599.99 CDN with a Core i3 processor, High Performance NVIDIA GTX graphics and a 500 GB Hard Drive. Upgraded versions include Core i5 and i7 processors, up to 1TB Hard Drive capacity and 8GB of memory. All models come bundled with the revolutionary new Steam Gamepad.
