After a loaded month of new and returning series like House of Cards and Marvel’s Daredevil on Netflix US in March, the streaming service is introducing a couple more new series and sees a few return for new seasons. Read on to find out what’s New on Netflix US for April, and if you’re in Canada be sure to checkout what’s New on Netflix Canada for the month.

Netflix Originals

The first Netflix Original for April sees Ashton Kutcher starring as Colt in The Ranch. After being a pro athlete didn’t pan out for him, he’s helping his dad and brother keep the ranch afloat, and figuring out how he fits into the family. Kutcher is joined by Danny Masterson and Sam Elliott. The first season of The Ranch hits Netflix on April 1.

The manga series Ajin: Demi-Human is making it’s way to Netflix in the anime series of the same name. After being hit by a truck, a student discovers that he is an immortal Ajin. Branded as criminals so they can be hunted down and captured for research, the teenager must pick a side as his fellow Ajin plan on fighting back against the authorities. Ajin: Demi-Human season 1 streams on Netflix on April 12.

Next up, season 3 of Cuckoo returns on April 15th, following last month’s release of the first two seasons of this show. Starring Andy Samberg and Taylor Lautner, Cuckoo is about a woman who shocks her proper British parents when she marries an American hippie. Also returning on April 15th is the second season of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, which stars Ellie Kemper as Kimmy Schmidt, a comedy about a young woman who is rescued from a doomsday cult after 15 years and is trying to get her life back on track.

Quite a few of us here at Techaeris are pretty big fans of Patton Oswalt, and his new comedy special — Patton Oswalt: Talking for Clapping — hits Netflix on April 22nd. Patton Oswalt delivers a fresh hour plus of stand-up, covering everything from misery to defeat to hopelessness in his most upbeat special to date. The Netflix Original Special Correspondents starring Eric Bana, Ricky Gervais, and Vera Farmiga streams on April 29th. This hilarious comedy follows a struggling radio journalist and his hapless technician faking frontline war reports from a NYC hideout. Also streaming on April 29th and rounding out the Netflix Originals for the month on Netflix US is Team Foxcatcher, a documentary with never-before seen home video that recounts the paranoid downward spiral of John E. du Pont and the murder of Olympic wrestler David Schultz.

Netflix Original Series For Kids

Kids this month are treated to three new Netflix Original Series for Kids. First up is Lost & Found Music Studios on April 1st, in which a group of talented young performers in a unique elite music program hope to turn their passion into their profession. The show has already been airing on Family Channel in Canada and BBC in the UK and is now coming to Netflix in the US.

The animated movie and series follow the journey of Kong, who has been exiled to Alcatraz Island. After the island is transformed into the Remy Natural History and Marine Preserve, Kong finds he must take on Biorobotic Dinosaurs and the evil genius behind them.

April 29th sees the return of the world’s greatest super-spy as the first season of Danger Mouse has the title character returning to save the world with the help of hapless hamster Penfold and a collection of state-of-the-art gadgetry.
