The Plex web player is just one method of accessing one of the best streaming services in existence today and it just got an overhaul. Plex on iOS and Android is a pretty great experience and the Plex web player has been a decent experience but today Plex has added some upgrades and new features to make it even better. If you’re not familiar with Plex you should check out their website and seriously buy that lifetime Plex Pass, especially if you have a large library of music and movies. Keep reading on for Plex’s full announcement to see what’s new with the Plex web player.
For starters, you can now access all the most excellent new discovery features right on the dashboard. I love using it for music while I work, being reminded of artists I haven’t played in a while, or my most played albums from prior months.
Next up: mouse, trackpad, and touch users rejoice, because you can finally fling the horizontal lists around like they deserve!
We also added a feature which has been requested a lot over the years, a poster zoom slider. Because one size doesn’t fit all.
Last, but not least, we’d love to introduce you to the brand spanking new, amazingly cool live search. We dove deep, scaled great heights, and emerged with something we feel is truly special.
