Marvel has announced the addition of three new cast members to the upcoming Marvel’s The Punisher series on Netflix. Ben Barnes (The Chronicles of Narnia), Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Girls), and Amber Rose Revah (Indian Summers, Son of God) will be joining Jon Bernthal who plays the lead role.
“I’m really excited about the cast we’re assembling alongside Bernthal as Frank Castle,” said showrunner and Executive Producer Steve Lightfoot. “I look forward to watching Ben, Ebon and Amber embody these characters and breathe vivid life into the story we are crafting for this season of Marvel’s The Punisher.”
Barnes will assume the role of Billy Russo, an ex-Special Forces buddy of Frank Castle’s (Bernthal) who runs a private military corporation called Anvil. Moss-Bachrach will play Micro, a former NSA analyst, while Revah will portray a character named Dinah Madani who happens to be a Homeland Security agent.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled about the remarkable talent joining Jon Bernthal in Marvel’s The Punisher. Ebon, Ben and Amber are incredibly talented actors and we can’t wait to see them bring these characters to life,” said Jeph Loeb, Executive Producer and Marvel’s Head of Television.
No premiere date has been set yet for the series, but filming has apparently started already. Hopefully we’ll be seeing it soon as Marvel’s Luke Cage just recently dropped on Netflix and we’ll be needing another dose of Marvel on the streaming service soon.
