If you haven’t made your way through Narcos Season 2 yet and think this is spoiling the ending for you, well, then you don’t history very well. For the most part anyone who started watching this series should know that Pablo Escobar dies in the end. As a matter of fact, I am pretty shocked that Netflix didn’t start Season 2 off with the death of Pablo in the first place.
Now with Narcos being given the green light for Seasons 3 and 4, there has to be some meat left for that. I’m guessing that Seasons 3 and 4 will delve deeper into the Medellín Cartel as well as the Cali Cartel and maybe even dip into their effect on the U.S. drug trade. Netflix has just released a short featurette talking about Season 2 of Narcos and how they prepared for the death of Pablo, how the actors worked together and show the real life locations they shot the final scenes. If you haven’t watched all of Season 2, you may want to look away.
I’ve finished up both seasons of Narcos and am looking forward to what they do with season 2 and 3. It is a little hard to envision the series without the main character, Pablo Escobar, as many of those that followed him never gained the fame or media attention he once commanded.
What are your thoughts on this featurette? What about the series as a whole? Do you think they did a good job portraying the death of Pablo Escobar? Let us know your thoughts and comments below or on Twitter, Facebook and Google+.
