I was late to the John Wick party. I’d heard of the movie when it came out but didn’t get around to seeing it until about a year ago. Since that first viewing, I’ve watched the original three more times, and as soon as news of a sequel broke, vowed to have my butt in the theater seat on night one. The John Wick: Chapter 2 trailer has done nothing but whet my appetite for this film further.
For those unfamiliar, John Wick follows the story of a professional assassin who has managed to “retire.” Long story short, he’s brought back into the fold and shoots a truly prodigious number of bad guys in the face. Fast forward to February 2017 and John Wick will return to theaters in John Wick: Chapter 2.
John Wick had a fantastic cast, including Willem Dafoe, Alfie Allen, Lance Reddick, John Leguizamo, and Ian McShane. The sequel adds even more impressive talent from the likes of Ruby Rose, Laurence Fishburne, and Common.

In this next chapter following the 2014 hit, legendary hitman John Wick [Keanu Reeves] is forced back out of retirement by a former associate plotting to seize control of a shadowy international assassins’ guild. Bound by a blood oath to help him, John travels to Rome where he squares off against some of the world’s deadliest killers.
