[CES 2017] Master & Dynamic tell us a little about their vision and roots

Master & Dynamic have been one of the headphone companies we’ve truly enjoyed reviewing for a few different reasons. Not only do their headphones sound amazing, as any premium headphone should, but having a passion behind the product is also a huge part of what makes this company unique. Last year at CES 2016, I had the chance to meet CEO Jonathan Levine and his passion for Master & Dynamic was completely clear. This year at CES 2017, we had the chance to talk to CEO Jonathan Levine and CPO Drew Stone-Briggs who explained to us a little about Master & Dynamic’s vision and roots.

The company is showcasing their MW50 on-ear headphones at CES 2017:

MW50 On Ear Headphones feature the same tactile buttons found on the MW60 Over-Ear model. These are the types of buttons found on luxury timepieces, though here you’ll be controlling volume or play/pause. These headphones are going to keep the music flowing too. The battery should last around 16 hours and will charge quickly using a USB-C port. If you’re out of juice, you can still listen to your tunes using the included heavy-duty woven cable (provided your phone still includes a headphone jack).

Custom 40mm beryllium drivers will work to create Master & Dynamic’s signature rich, warm sound profile. Master & Dynamic have also included their patent-pending milled aluminum external antenna which allows for a much longer range of connectivity. This antenna will let you get up to 100 feet away from your phone, tablet, or other connected device which is roughly three times the industry standard.
