After a pretty decent January — who hasn’t checked out Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events yet? — our Netflix February list takes a look to see what Netflix has in store for viewers. As a reminder shows that are coming to the U.S. only will be marked with (US), and likewise for shows coming to Canada (CA) only. If a show or movie isn’t marked with either US or CA, it will be coming to both services. Netflix has been kind enough to indicate which shows are available to view offline as well, which we’ve indicated by marking them with ⇓ after the title.

Without further ado, check out what’s coming to Netflix U.S. and Netflix Canada in February.
Netflix Original Series
The big draw for Netflix Original Series in February is, of course, Santa Clarita Diet. Joel (Timothy Olyphant) and Sheila (Drew Barrymore) are husband and wife realtors leading vaguely discontented lives in the L.A. suburb of Santa Clarita with their teenage daughter Abby, until Sheila goes through a dramatic change sending their lives down a road of death and destruction… but in a good way. It’ll be hard to resist zombie Drew Barrymore when the first season of Santa Clarita Diet hits Netflix on February 3rd.
Netflix Canada viewers will continue to get new episodes of the first season of Riverdale and the second season of Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments weekly throughout February. Both shows air on other networks in the U.S.
Season one of White Nights, a show about a cold-hearted heiress, a man from her past, and an ambitious new hire in her company who become entangled on a battleground for money and power, airs on February 14th.
The second season of The Seven Deadly Sins starting on February 17th, as the Seven Deadly Sins have brought peace back to the Liones Kingdom, but their adventures are far from over as new challenges and old friends await.
The debut seasons of both Ultimate Beastmaster and The Sound of Your Heart will air in both Canada and the U.S. on February 24th. Ultimate Beastmaster is a global series hosted by international stars, featuring 108 elite contestants from 6 different countries taking on one of the most grueling obstacle courses ever devised: The Beast. The Sound of Your Heart should prove to be a bit lighter fare as it is based on Korea’s longest-running webtoon series and follows the ridiculous daily lives of a cartoonist, his girlfriend, and his subpar family.

Netflix Original Films
Netflix viewers will be treated to four Netflix Original Films this month.
On February 3rd, a young father returns home from jail eager to care for his son and become a writer, but crime, poverty, and a flawed system threaten his plans in Imperial Dreams which stars John Boyega.
David Brent (Ricky Gervais) returns on February 10th. David Brent: Life on the Road sees a documentary crew catching up with the idiosyncratic David Brent from the BBC2’s mockumentary The Office. When audiences were first introduced to Brent, the self-proclaimed “Friend first, boss second, probably an entertainer third” dreamed of becoming a rock superstar. Twelve years on, Brent is now a traveling salesman chasing the dream with his band, ‘Foregone Conclusion.’ Assembling a group of session musicians who are just in it for the money, and a talented rapper Dom (Ben Bailey Smith) in an attempt to gain street cred, Brent cashes in his pension and takes unpaid leave in pursuit of his dream and one last shot at fame and fortune.
Bob Odenkirk returns in Girlfriend’s Day as an unemployed greeting card writer who must create the perfect card for a new holiday to save his skin when he’s caught up in a deadly conspiracy. Girlfriend’s Day airs on Netflix on February 14th.
Finally, Melanie Lynsky, Elijah Wood, and Jane Levy star in I Don’t Feel At Home In This World Anymore on February 24th. In this Netflix Original, a depressed Ruth gets a new lease on life when she and a neighbour track down burglars who robbed her but soon find themselves dangerously out of their depth.
Netflix Original Comedy Specials
For those looking for something a bit more light-hearted, Netflix has you covered with five Netflix Original Comedy Specials this month. Daniel Sosa brings Sosafado on February 3rd, Kathryn Ryan’s In Trouble and Michael Bolton’s Big, Sexy Valentine’s Day Special come to Netflix on February 7th, Trevor Noah’s Afraid of the Dark hits on February 21st, and Mike Birbiglia’s Thank God For Jokes airs on February 28th.
Netflix Original Documentaries
From Executive Producer Morgan Neville, Abstract: The Art of Design, a Netflix original docu-series, takes you beyond blueprints and computers into the art and science of design, showcasing great designers from every discipline whose work shapes our world. Go inside the minds of the world’s greatest designers. Abstract comes to Netflix on February 3rd.
Chef’s Table Season 3 returns on February 17th and goes inside the kitchens of renowned chefs Nancy Silverton, Ivan Orkin, Tim Raue, Virgilio Martínez, Jeong Kwan and Vladimir Mukhin.
Netflix Original Series For Kids
For the kids, Netflix has a Valentine’s Day special, a show returning for its fourth season, and a pair of new series debuting near the end of the month. On February 14th, the Project Mc2 Valentine’s Day Special has the girls visiting NOV8’s amazing headquarters, where the Quail gives them a new mission involving an old friend — but something strange is afoot.
February 17th sees the return of Dreamworks Dragons: Race to the Edge. In the fourth season, the Dragon Riders earn the trust of another tribe and form an alliance against Viggo, who’s busy creating a new secret weapon: Project Shell Fire.
Finally, on February 24th, kids will be treated to the first seasons of Legend Quest and VeggieTales in the City. In Legend Quest, kids follow Leo, who lives in the past, as he travels across time on a magic ship with his ghost and monster friends on their mission to defeat a mystical enemy. The VeggieTales are on the move as Larry, Bob, and their Veggie pals expand their horizons, presenting colorful, inspiring tales from the city as well as their own backyards.
