While tankless water heaters aren’t all that new, they are constantly being improved and new features are being added all the time. Heatworks is returning to Kickstarter after their successfully funded Model 1 campaign with a new and improved MODEL 3 Wi-Fi enabled tankless water heater.
If you’re unfamiliar with tankless water heaters, instead of having a tank that heats up and stores hot water for use, tankless water heaters heat the water instantly and on demand. The MODEL 3 Water Heater from Heatworks uses a patented Ohmic Array Technology which uses graphite electrodes. This method results in no scaling or corrosion, something that is typical with traditional water heater tanks.
Being able to heat water up to 4 gallons per minute, the MODEL 3 is compact — only 12″ x 12″ x 12″, easy to install, and is 99% energy efficient. In addition, Heatworks has added an app and Wi-Fi control to the MODEL 3 tankless water heater which lets you remotely set the temperature, track how much water you use on a daily basis, and can even control the amount of hot water used in the shower.
