After releasing the Moto Z2 Play and new Moto Mods last month, Motorola has announced the second updated Moto Z phone and another new Moto Mod. The Moto Z2 Force Edition with its shatter and crack proof screen and a new Moto 360 Camera Mod are available for pre-order in the U.S. starting today.

In addition to the shatterproof 5.5″ AMOLED QHD (2560×1440) screen, the Moto Z2 Force Edition is thinner than last year’s model and thus has a smaller battery — 2730 mAh down from 3500 mAh. The updated phone sports a Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 835 processor 2.35 GHz Octa-Core CPU, 4GB of RAM, and dual 12MP rear cameras. Another interesting update sees the phone launching with Bluetooth 4.2 support which will be updated to Bluetooth 5.0 support after the Android O release.

The new Moto Camera 360 Moto Mod will allow you to transform any Moto Z family smartphone into a 360º camera, and also allow you to easily edit and share interactive 360º 4K video or 150º  ultra-wide angle front and rear still photos.

The Moto Z2 Force Edition will be available at AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, and Verizon in the U.S., and will be coming to Mexico, Brazil, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa later this summer. Unfortunately, the Moto Z2 Force Edition will not be available in Canada. You can also score yourself a free Moto Insta-Share Projector Moto Mod when you purchase a Moto Z2 Force Edition for a limited time. Moto 360 Camera, on the other hand, will be available globally for $299.99 USD (MSRP) beginning August 10.
