If you’ve followed me on social media at any point in the past few years, you’ll know I’m a fan of Longmire. The show started out as an A&E original but then was questionably dumped by the network and stars Robert Taylor, Katee Sackhoff, Lou Diamond Phillips, and many others. The show follows a Wyoming police department in fictional Absaroka County. It’s everything you’d expect from a police drama with some unique regional additions, given the Wyoming location.
The show was picked up by Netflix and has had an excellent run with its many fans — and those fans are getting impatient. Katee Sackhoff, who plays Victoria “Vic” Moretti on the show, has a pretty big Twitter presence and has been getting hammered by fans for a release date for Season 6. Yesterday, she replied with some measure of hope that fans will finally see the final season of Longmire before years end.
Longmire Fans** We don’t have a release date. I promise you this is because the final seasons is being cared for to no end. 🙏🏻Be patient❤️❤️

To be fair, Netflix never did announce a date for Season 6, it’s the fans who are starting to lose their patience and for good reason. The show is amazing and even though we know this is the final season, it’s frustrating not knowing when we’ll actually get to enjoy it.
I’ve reached out to Netflix for comment before on the matter and I plan on reaching out again today. I will update this post should I get any sort of official comment from them. In the meantime, if you haven’t checked out the show yet you can catch all five seasons on the streaming service.
