With eight more days of teaser content to come, Netflix is promising “a final surprise!”

It’s no secret that Black Mirror is returning for another season on Netflix. The streaming service has kicked off “13 Days of Black Mirror” with a pair of episodic trailers and key art over the past four days. With eight more days of teaser content to come, Netflix is promising “a final surprise!” Do you think maybe they’ll be dropping the entire season on the day thirteen?

Black Mirror is an anthology series that taps into our collective unease with the modern world, with each stand-alone episode a sharp, suspenseful tale exploring themes of contemporary techno-paranoia leading to an unforgettable – and sometimes unsettling – conclusion. Without questioning it, technology has transformed all aspects of our lives; in every home; on every desk; in every palm – a plasma screen; a monitor; a Smartphone – a Black Mirror reflecting our 21st Century existence back at us. The series is created and written by Charlie Brooker, and executive produced by Brooker and Annabel Jones.

The first teaser dropped is titled “Arkangel” and stars Rosemarie Dewitt (La La Land, Mad Men), Brenna Harding (A Place to Call Home), and Owen Teague (Bloodline). Written by show creator Charlie Brooker, it is directed by Jodie Foster. “Arkangel” is sure to not only tug at the strings of parents but introduces an interesting concept as well…

The second teaser is for the episode titled “Crocodile” and deals with memories and being able to access them with technology. Also written by Charlie Brooker, this episode stars Andrea Riseborough (Birdman, Bloodline), Andrew Gower (Outlander), Kiran Sonia Sawar (Murdered By My Father) and is directed by John Hillcoat (Triple Nine, Lawless).
