Funxim fast wireless charging pad: An alternative to Apple’s offering

iOS / Mobile / Tech
fast wireless charging

The Funxim fast wireless charging pad is $29USD on Kickstarter and looks very similar to Apple’s AirPower design.

When Apple announced the iPhone X, they also showed off a new fast wireless charging pad called AirPower. The AirPower fast wireless charging pad isn’t available for purchase yet and no price has been announced but there may be an alternative to consider. The Funxim fast wireless charging pad is $29USD on Kickstarter and looks very similar to Apple’s AirPower design. This pad gives you the ability to charge your iPhone and Apple Watch at the same time. Of course, the appeal is not having to plug your devices in and just dropping them on the pad.

Funxim is the first Qi standard fast wireless charging pad on the market designed for iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X and Apple Watch. With a charging conversion rate of over 80%, you can charge your iPhone and Apple watch at the same time with ultra speed.

This stylish Funxim is not only able to charge your iPhone 8 and iPhone X, but also supports Apple watch and Android devices. A Qi-standard fast wireless charger pad offers 80% charging efficiency, Funxim is designed for the exceptional fast wireless charging experience.

Apple’s AirPower charging pad could be coming soon but likely at a much higher price. The Funxim will have an MSRP of $79USD but is currently $29USD for Kickstarter backers, a pretty decent price indeed. The campaign already has over 4,200 backers and has exceeded the $10,000USD goal.

As with any Kickstarter, there is a risk supporting crowdfunding campaigns. We’ve recently heard about several that we’ve written about that have failed or are having issues. Our reporting on Kickstarter campaigns does not mean we support or are affiliated with them. Support at your own risk.
