If you’ve been a big fan of Monster Hunter, then you’re probably excited about the next installment, Monster Hunter: World which is coming out next year. Capcom confirmed the dates as to when the beta will begin, and those dates you’re looking for are Saturday, December 9th, 9 a.m. PT and ends on Tuesday, December 12th at 8:59 a.m. PT. There’s a kick to all this too, you will need to be a PlayStation Plus member in order to play the beta. Sorry Xbox gamers…

The game can be downloaded on Friday, December 8th and will take up 5.9GB of storage, but cannot be played until the next day. During the beta, you can play solo or with three others in multiplayer and complete three different quests that are showing off two different places in the game. Those three quests will be:

  • “Great Devourer, Great Jagras” — hunt the Great Jagras in the Ancient Forest
  • “Wildspire Rampage” — hunt the Barroth in the Wildspire Waste
  • “The Ancient Forest Menace” — hunt the Anjanath in the Ancient Forest

In addition to those three quests and multiplayer options, the beta will include your choice of 14 different weapon types that you can change during quests at camp. Those weapons can be tried out in the training room to better suit your needs for weapon preference. Also during the beta, you will have the option to choose your character between six different presets for males and females. Presets for your Palico are also available along with the ability to name them whatever you want. The full game will have a deeper customization for your character. You will receive rewards in the game, so make sure you’re using the same SEN account if you do plan on getting the full game when it’s released.

The release date for the game will be January 26th, 2018 for Xbox and PlayStation 4, while PC will come out at a later date.

I’ve never played Monster Hunter before, so this will be my first time playing the game, even if it’s the beta. With the beta just around the corner, is anyone going to download it and try it out? Let us know by leaving your comments down below, or on Google+, Facebook, or Twitter.
